Analysis of influencing factors of Adverse Events Following Immunization of BCG vaccina-tion in Guangxi

  • Objective:To analyze the monitoring data of Adverse Events Following Immunization (AEFI) of BCG vaccination in Guangxi from 2015 to 2020, to describe the spatial distribution trend of the AEFI incidence of BCG vaccination in Guangxi, and to find the influencing factors on the incidence of BCG vaccination, so as to reduce the occurrence of adverse reaction to BCG vaccination. Methods:Through questionnaire surveys, person-nel investment and business work of immunization programs in 111 counties and districts, spatial autocorrelation analysis and geographically weighted regression analysis were used to analyze the influencing factors of the AE-FI incidence of BCG accination from mathematics and space. Results:From 2015 to 2020, the AEFI incidence of BCG vaccination in Guangxi was 20.31/100, 000.Whether the immunization program expenditure reached 1 yuan per capita, whether it was equipped with automatic temperature monitoring equipment and the incidence of vacci-nation accidents were the influencing factors of the AEFI incidence of BCG vaccination (P< 0.05).The AEFI in-cidence of BCG vaccination was spatially autocorrelated, with Moran's I index=0.173, Z=2.677 and P=0.007.In the northern Guangxi of the high-high aggregation area with AEFI incidence of BCG vaccine, the main factors in-fluencing it were the number of vaccination personnel, the incidence of vaccination accidents, the allocation of temperature monitoring equipment and the rate of registration. In eastern Guangxi, the main factors influencing it were the incidence of vaccination accidents and the number of immunization program personnel. In northwest Guangxi, the main factors influencing it were funding, the number of vaccination personnel and the rate of registration. Conclusion:The AEFI incidence of BCG vaccination in Guangxi is spatially autocorrelated, and the degree of influence of each factor varies in different regions. Therefore, each region can reduce vaccination errors and the AEFI incidence of BCG vaccination by formulating appropriate policy measures.
