Abstract
The prodromal phase of schizophrenia is characterized by various impairments in perception, think-ing, speech, behavior and other aspects, which commonly occur before the first onset of most cases of schizophre-nia.The onset of schizophrenia can be delayed by enhancing protective factors and providing early intervention in individuals at ultra-high risk for schizophrenia. In recent years, significant progress has been made in the genetic, social, psychological and other fields in the study of individuals at ultra-high risk for schizophrenia. This arti-cle reviews the above fields with the goal of providing a basis for finding more specific protective factors and ap-propriate early intervention programs for individu-als at ultra-high risk for schizophrenia.
