Application progress of automated peritoneal dialysis

In the world, a large number of patients with end-stage renal disease receive peritoneal dialysis treat-ment.Automated peritoneal dialysis (APD) has benefited many patients due to its convenience and flexibility, and the number of patients using APD has gradually increased.At present, APD has a high utilization rate in the United States, Canada and other developed countries, accounting for about 70%.In China, although APD is not yet universal, it shows an upward trend.In order to better understand the technology of APD, further promote the application of APD in China, and benefit patients with end-stage renal disease, this paper detailedly introduces the common modes and clinical applications of APD.
