Abstract
Objective: To analyze the teeth and posterior occlusal plane changes in retreatment patients with hyperdivergent malocclusion by mini screw. Methods: 14 Angle class Ⅱdivision 1 orthodontic retreatment patients with hyperdivergent malocclusion were retrospectively studied.Lateral cranial radiographs before and after treatment were collected for measurement and analysis. Results: After treatment, SN-MP, OP-P, U1-SN, U1-NA, U6C-Y, U1C-Y, U1A-Y, U6-PP, UL-EP, LL-EP decreased (P< 0.05); the maxillary dentition was distalized, the molar was depressed, the posterior occlusion plane rotated counterclockwise, and the upper and lower lip prominence was reduced. All patients achieved the expected orthodontic goals. Conclusion: The mini screw can not only effectively distalize the maxillary dentition, but also make the posterior occlusion plane rotate counterclockwise, which is conducive to improving the profile of orthodontic retreatment patients with hyperdivergent malocclusion.
