Abstract:
Objective: To systematically evaluate correlation between lncRNA MALAT1 and the risk of coronary artery disease (CAD) and in the meantime to investigate the correlation between lncRNA MALAT1 expression level and Gensini score, levels of hs-CRP, NT-proBNP, IL-6, CK-MB, TC and LDL-C in patients with CAD as well as the accuracy of diagnosing CAD events with high lncRNA MALAT1 expression.
Methods: Computer searched PubMed, Web of Science, EMbase, Cochrane Library, CNKI, WanFang Data, VIP and CBM databases.Studies on the correlation between lncRNA MALAT1 and the onset of CAD, Gensini score, levels of hs-CRP, NTproBNP, IL-6, CK-MB, TC and LDL-C and the diagnostic value of high lncRNA MALAT1 expression for CAD were collected.The retrieval time was from the establishment of the database to August 2022.Meta-analysis was performed using RevMan v5.4 and Stata 15.0 softwares.
Results: A total of 15 retrospective studies were incorporated, including 5, 830 patients.Meta-analysis results showed that the risk of CAD in people with high expression was significantly higher than that in those with low expression
OR=2.11, 95%
CI (1.40, 3.18),
P=0.000 4and the expression level of lncRNA MALAT1 reflected the degree of myocardial damage and the level of lipid metabolism.The higher the level of lncRNA MALAT1 expression, the higher the levels of hs-CRP, NT-proBNP, IL-6, TC and LDL-C.In addition, the high expression of lncRNA MALAT1 had a high accuracy in the diagnosis of CAD (SEN=0.73, SPE=0.73, SROC AUC=0.81).
Conclusion: The expression level of lncRNA MALAT1 can be used as a marker to predict the risk of CAD, and the risk of CAD is higher in people with high expression of lncRNA MALAT1.The expression level of lncRNA MALAT1 can reflect the degree of myocardial damage and lipid metabolism to a certain extent, and the high expression of lncRNA MALAT1 has high accuracy for the diagnosis of CAD.
