Abstract:
Objective: To explore the species of endophytic fungi from the rhizomes of
Curcuma aromatica Salisb.(
C.aromatica), and their anti-hypoxia/reoxygenation (H/R) injury of cardiomyocytes
in vitro.
Methods: The endophytic fungi in the rhizomes were extracted and purified by tissue block attachment method. The purified endophytic fungi were cultured by PDB medium, and the protective effect of crude extracts against H9C2 H/R injury of cardiomyocytes was screened by MTT method.
Results: In this study, 23 endophytic fungi were isolated and identified from the rhizomes of
C.aromatica.Among them, 17 strains were identified to species and 6 strains to genera; the crude extracts of 11 strains of endophytic fungi showed no obvious cytotoxicity within a certain concentration range. Two of the 11 endophytic fungi without obvious cytotoxicity showed protective effect on anti-myocardial H/R injury in H9C2 cells (
P<0.05).
Conclusion: The activity results of the endophytic fungi isolated in this study are similar to the anti-H/R effect of the rhizomes of
C. aromatica in vitro, which provides a feasible basis for further searching for chemical components with protective effect against myocardial injury from the endophytic fungi.
