Abstract:
Objective: To explore the value of contrast-enhanced ultrasound(CEUS)of the ablation on hepatocel-lular carcinoma(HCC)in special site.
Methods: In total of 81 patients with special HCC who received CEUS be-fore and after treatment were reviewed, and were divided into the combined treatment group of microwave abla-tion (MWA)+percutaneous ethanol injection (PEI) with 45 cases and the simple microwave ablation (MWA)therapy group with 36 cases according to the the different therapies. The efficacy was evaluated one month after surgery and complications were observed.
Results: There was statistical significance in the diameter of tumor be-fore and after treatment (
P< 0.05).The accuracy rate of CEUS evaluation of ablation effect was 97.5% (79/81), contrast-enhanced computer tomography (CECT) was 96.3%(78/81), and there was no statistical significance in the accuracy of the two imaging methods(
P> 0.05).The complete ablation rate of the combined treatment group and the single MWA group were respectively 95.6% (43/45) and 86.1% (31/36), and there was statistical signifi-cance between the two groups (
P< 0.05).There were statistical significances in alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) values between complete and incomplete ablation patients before and after treatment (
P< 0.05).There was no statistical significance in the incidence of postoperative complications between the two groups (
P> 0.05), and no serious complications occurred.
Conclusion: The comprehensive treatment of MWA combined with PEI has a good clini-cal effect on HCC in special site, and CEUS is consistent well with CECT in efficacy evaluation.
